Your House Isn’t Selling: WHAT NOW?

Selling your property can be very stressful, especially if the process is taking longer than you anticipated. You shouldn’t necessarily be alarmed if the process takes longer than you expected, there are a lot of factors at play in any property transaction.

But if you feel it’s taking too long, there’s a few things you can do to make sure your property is selling as fast as it can:

1. Choose The Best Time To Sell

Autumn is knocking on our door, and luckily it’s still a good time to put your property on the market. The weather is still good and there are no major holidays. Also, buyers don’t want to be transacting over Christmas, so it’s a good time to put your property on the market.

2. The Right Price

Make sure the valuation of your property is correct. If your property ticks all the boxes put it’s overpriced, you’re going to struggle to sell. Talk to a local estate agent who’s active in the area as well as other sellers in the area to get the most accurate valuation on your house.

3. Curb Appeal

Is your property looking at its best? There might be things you’re overlooking. Does the property look attractive from the outside? You can find 7 tips on how to make your property look its best here.

4. Choose The Right Agent

A good estate agent will go above and beyond what’s expected to get the deal done. An excellent agent will probably have a database of interested buyers already which is a huge advantage. Chat to other homeowners to find out which agent they used, you’ll want an agent that communicates effectively, knows the area, knows the market and demographics.

5. Be Ready To Seal The Deal

Make sure all your finances are in place so that you’re ready when a potential buyer wants to commit. You don’t want the deal to fall through because you didn’t act fast enough.

These are just 5 tips that will help you ensure a swift sale, you can also watch our video on how to speed up the sales process drastically.
